Woah, From what you just explained they are here in Australia too.
Except they are called Lads or Eshay's.
They are the scum of the Earth and I seriously hope they just go away.
Here is a picture of a Eshay in Australia just to make sure it is the same as a chav.

This is like the 2002 Chav, where every Chav wore a Burberry hat, it was so bad that Burberry took it off the shelves. Here's a brief video on it.

TheMilitarySquid wrote Well, if your in the UK you will know what a Chav is and if your in the US then its basically like a gangster wannabe that acts like they own the country and looks like absolute **** wearing rain coats and tracksuits.

I don't really agree with your definition of a chav.

A chav to me has nothing to do with their choice of clothing or the fact they smoke weed, people from all walks of life wear tracksuits or take drugs, doesn't automatically make them a bad person.

A chav is usually (not always) a deprived kid who doesn't have a proper upbringing. If that's the case (it usually is) then the parents surely are to get the majority of the blame. Some people become the man/woman they are through the way they are brought up. If their parent(s) are perfectly healthy and choose not to work, if their parent(s) are alcoholic(s)/drug addict(s) and if their parent(s) openly engage in criminal activity. These are the type of chavs I feel sorry for, it's not really their fault as a teenager or young adult to be acting this way. However it usually is a phase I've known plenty people like this in my school days, and as men (21+) some of them are working class citizens who have completely changed and the others are criminals, drug addicts and/or alcoholics. I don't judge chavs under the age of 21, it's a phase and some people need the chance to grow out of it, those who choose not to or those with parents who tried to show them are a good life; are the ones you should direct your hate towards.

I don't like then, I live in a town near Glasgow and it is really nice apart one part which is infested with them from them, they go about in their cars blaring music and generally causing crime and a lot of them deal drugs too!

When you walk through that part of the town too they will aggravate you.

I reckon we should crack down on them, they are all on benefits and basically are just waiting to be on Jeremy Kyle.

I'm from Glasgow and that's not true, they cause crime and do deal yes but 99% of the time they will not aggravate you for no reason, I walk through any part of the city and have only had trouble once or twice in 22 years, one time in particular I was in the Easterhouse area and a black corsa pulls up, 2 bald guys jump out one armed with a hatchet asking me about someone who I didn't even know, not gonna lie my bottle totally dropped when I saw the hatchet but I managed to convince them I didn't know the boy they where after and managed to walk away unharmed. Thats the only time I've ever felt threatened or unsafe in Glasgow.

The problem i have with Chav's where i live they do not live in a deprived area. They can easily afford proper clothes, They can speak proper english, they can get a proper education and yet they find the urge to act out, cause trouble, wear shit and talk like morons.

What i think it is, is neglect from the parents. But what can you do. lol

Wearing a tracksuit does not make you look like a chave lol, I wear stuff like that sometimes and in no way I act like that I just find the stuff comfy to wear.

Also it's who you hang about with in Scotland you can wear a tracksuit and not be stupid and then you get people what will try start trouble.

What you wear doesn't make you a chave that's all I have to say but I do know where you are going and you are right apart from the tracksuit part.

This made my day, honestly I can't really say much about this considering I had to UD just to find out what it is.
