Most of these reviews point out that Destiny is overly ambitious, repeitive and just going from point A killing mobs than to point B killing more mobs.

What do you guys think?

I like it. I would give it more of an 8. They are always really critical. Same with movies. Most games like this can be broken down into running between different areas killing mobs lol

this give me another reason to not buy it. i didn't really enjoyed the beta and the reviews reflects what i thought.

Same, if anything I'm going to wait until it's released on PC (if it ever does) and buy it on sale.

What i dont understand is that people buy the game knowing that you have to GRIND the game for gear and what not. If you dont like grind dont buy the game simple.

I don't find that a good thing, I mean I don't mind grinding in certain games but for something as big as Destiny I'm sure myself and other people would imagine you would be able to get some awesome loot and gear just by exploring the would but that's not really the case here :/

I don't think destiny is a bad game at all. Personally I would rate it at a 7.5 out of 10. It's really quite fun and engaging. I've been playing it for over 30 hours in total and I still want to play more. Destiny of course is better played with friends, but playing it solo isn't too bad as well. I can't wait for the raids that are about to come out and I can't wait for more content in the future. This game is a must buy in my opinion and the game will only get better.

-constantly updating
-fun bounties

-while playing solo you might feel very alone
-needs more game types for multiplayer
-lack of story
-weapons don't feel unique
-a bit repetitive


So overall you should definitely get the game. I was skeptical at first because of what I saw in the beta, but the full game exceeded my hopes, however, destiny probably isn't as good as everyone thought it would be. It's not a revolutionary game or anything, but hey it's fun.

Nice little review of yours I agree it's definitly not awful just not as good as it was hyped to be. But personally I'm waiting on Borderlands The Pre-Sequel to launch!

The drop system is fairly different then other games. I got fairly good drops early on. In reality, anything not pvp only matters with damage and if you play those constantly, you get loot faster. I played for maybe 8 hours, I'm level 20 with 700 defense and my strongest weapon does 250~
