Hello, recently, i have been playing on my xbox on call of duty and it has came to my attention that my internet connection has been playing up. Every time i go into a game, i am on a 4 bar connection and for the past 4/5 days, it has been lagging every 30 seconds or so for about 5 seconds and this is constant throughout the game. On my laptop, i play a game called world of warcraft and if you play this then you will understand what i am going on about here, every time i cast a spell, it has like a 2/3 second delay. I have tried rebooting my internet several times and also i have reset the full router back to default settings. I have talk talk fiber optic and i dont understand why i keep getting these constant lag spikes all the time. Thanks

If your on wireless, connect to the internet via a wired cable.
What's your interwebs download speed?
Is anyone else using your connection?
Are you using streaming services such as Twitch, Youtube?

i have an ethernet cable and when i connect that, it still has these massive lag spikes. I am not streaming anything and others on my internet are just my brother which has a ps4. my internet download speed is 20.46 mbps. it was 37 earlier on and its 20.46 wired. if i do wireless it goes to about 9 mpbs.??

Turn off your router, then wait 30-45 seconds and turn it back on and try your connection again wired preferably. That should help quite a bit.

Make sure other people aren't connected to your internet because this could definitely be a bandwidth issue. ;)

I had the same problem for Black ops 2 for a while, it could be numerous things;
1. Bad internet connection
2. Disc is scratched (This was my issue)
3. Just general lag compensation
4. Bad connection around YOUR area.
5. Your provider could be losing signal around there.
Try resetting your router? As far as WOW goes, I have no idea how that game works, so I can't help you there.. Sorry.
