Protein, dedication, and staying mentally tough and insane. It's been working for me for years.

Eat meats, eggs, and tuna works great. I suggest trying to get to the gym as much as you can because working out at home is hard to do and you get faster results.

Im 16 about average build what would you recommend i use in the gym and is there a certain type or brand of protein shake that is good?

100% whey. I use Myolean and I've gotten good results.

If you are a newbie try this:
4x25 push ups (it might be alot for a complete newbie so you can make as much as you can)
4x15 squats
4x50 crunches
Its pretty easy but it will help you start

eat healthy.
