The "Fast and Furious" franchise is still Universal Pictures' gold mine. The studio's chairman Donna Langley confirmed that there would be "Fast and Furious 8", "Fast and Furious 9" and "Fast and Furious 10", depending on how the seventh film performs.

"We think there's at least three more," Langley said, adding, "I think it's still a growing franchise. We'll see what happens with 'Furious 7', obviously, but our box office has grown over the past three or four films and internationally, in particular. So we think that there's more to mine there. But we're of course very mindful about fatigue."

The franchise suffered a major blow last year when longtime cast Paul Walker died in a car crash while filming was not yet completed. But Langley is confident the series can move on without him. "Paul is, and always will be, an integral part of the story," she said. "But there are many other great characters, and it's also an opportunity to introduce new characters."

The confirmation came on the heels of the reports that Justin Lin is being lured back to the franchise. Directing four out of seven "Fast and Furious" films, Lin is expected to direct at least one of these future movies and give the franchise a closure.

Not sure if I want another three films, just milking it now. The seventh film is going to amazing because everyone wants to see Paul Walker's final performance. I can't see any of the main characters staying on for the remaining three films though. Suppose we'll have to wait and see.

I think the seventh film will blow up because of Paul Walker's death. It really should end there.

The Fast and the Furious movies are an absolute classic. Love them to death, but honestly I feel like if they put to many of them out there, it will ruin the franchise as a whole. Hopefully they don't try releasing these too quickly and actually think it through!

It should end with 7 because of the loss of Paul Walker, but with the entry of Jason Statham as the bad guy I could see him in a couple more movies.

We'll have to wait a see. But no matter what I love the F&F movies and will always want more.

As much as I love the Fast & Furious Series, I think they should end it. I'm sure Paul Walker would want the franchise to continue but I just can't imagine the series to continue on without him. Even if his brother plays it. All great things must come to an end!
