In my opinion the CR4 XL is kinda pointless for a trinity. I'm getting near instant boot all the time booting Xell on the trinity I'm working on right now, and I'm using a rev c.

@OP, I don't think anything has really changed for the slims since then. It should work, but be sure to check RGH2 when programming the coolrunner.

Also, instead of JR-Programmer, I found on another site a cheaper nand reader which was 'X360 Super Nand Flasher'.

So could I use that instead? Reviews said it was a solid product.

Any nand reader would be fine.

Just as a note, I bought an X360 Super Nand Flasher from [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but it looks like he isn't selling them anymore.... I used it today and it works pretty well.

There is no need to use a CR4 on a Trinity. It is only meant for slow booting consoles such as Falcons and Jaspers. On a Slim, it is a waste, as a tuned CR3 Lite could provide instant boot times. As for obtaining one, you could try eBay, but I would recommend to try as hard as possible to avoid the clones, some may work, some may not. If they do not work, then there is little support to provide, as to questioning the functionality of the chip.
