Antivirus: None . I just don't want to throw it away. At least maybe use the case?

Why do you have 6 partitions on a 250GB HDD? At least, I assume that's what it is? You may be able to run Win8.1 32 bit.

There are two hard drives 100 or so GB each 3 partitions no each. It was recommended back when I built this to have the xp on the c: drive so if there was a problem everything would not fail together. Then partition for better performance.
There is also a fire wire card I was doing videos that were taken with a Sony camcorder. It took a while but it worked. Now I have a gopro hero3 and it can't handle the hd.

Octan wrote Not enough ram..That's not true. Win8.1 only requires 1GB RAM to run a 32 bit version of the OS.

So, if I add more memory and get a faster cpu, if I find them , 8.1 should run ?
