Hey guys, recently i tryed to do something to my car which did not go as planned and now needs a respray, it is my first car aswell, i have a Honda Civic EJ9 3 door Hatch. so i looked around for people who can respray the car but after seeing the prices i stopped. i come over a thing called Plasti dip and its a rubber paint coating that bonds to your car and comes off when you want it to. so i bought a gallon of plasti dip (White) cause they dont sell the pre thinned gallons in UK, so i bought a gallon of white plasti dip and a gallon of thinners to do a 50/50 mix as plasti dip recommend, i was also told that when you thin it down yourself it doesnt cover as good as the pre thinned so i bought white tint aswell.the question is, do you think 2 gallons of plasti dip will cover my ej9? like i mean its a small type car. the current colour is silver/light grey, how much coats do you think i could get from 2 gallons? the recommend 5/6 coats for better peel ability when removing but im not really wanting to remove it i just want to get good coverage. please post your answers as i would like to know.

What did you do to make you need to plasti-dip the entire car? But to stay on topic. I say just go for it. If worse comes to worse and it comes out crappy or you end up not liking the look you can just peel it off. I'd definitely do a little research though before you do it just to prepare it.

I think you only need to do 2-3 coats, you could spray certain panels bit by bit. This would allow you to see how much you have (If you have enough)

you can always go and buy more, you'll have to let it dry and do a few layers anyways.

Personally, I hate Plasti-Dip for full body jobs. I use Plasti-Dip for things such as trim paint, wheels, and badge paint. If it were me, I'd use bed-liner or Monsta-Liner. That's just me though.

I say go for it. Like xCraZyxProductionZz said, if you don't like it or it comes out crappy, just peel it off and start over.
