Hello everyone,
So I had this tattoo done around a year ago now and for the past year I've been pondering whether I want colour or just black & grey. My original thought was black and grey and was initially only going to have that.
After a while of talking with my Tattoo artist we think it might look good with colour.
The design is a Phoenix based around some Japanese concepts, the black and grey plan look brilliant, but I thought I would get some of your inputs.
So, should I add colour? or stick to the original plan?
Either way, I need to finish this off, my poor decision making has made this sit unfinished on my arm for around a year now.
Heres images from when it was first done.

I was talking with my artist and we think it would look cool with everything around the phoenix as colour and the phoenix itself shaded black & grey.
Not entirely sure, but full colour might look sweet too.

I don't know much about tattoos but in my opinion they look better black and white, like shaded like you said. That always looks sweet

Color would make it pop nice put some nice orange in there, it could look great but that's my opinion

Orange where? On the phoenix itself? Orange highlights along the feathers?

My Mom is actually a tattoo artist, and I showed her the pictures.
All though she obviously is not the decision maker here, she sad it would definitely look nicer with color, or at least shaded with gray and black.
