There is no aiming down sights, you cant run and gun, and each gun sprays differently.
If you want to get good you have to learn the weapon spray patterns. Also there is no classes.

You can aim with the snipers, and the aug and the sg553.... play deathmatch to learn the game

The best weapons are the AK-47, M4A1-S or M4A4 and the AWP but I guess it depends on how well you use the guns. The best gamemode to play if you are new would be casual to get used to the competitive gamemode and deathmatch to improve accuracy. I wouldn't jump straight into competitive. There's tons of tutorials on youtube explaining how to get used the the spray patterns of weapons and things like how to change your crosshair to get better accuracy.

Deathmath would be a good warmup, but you dont have classes.

Instead you have a general buy menu which you can buy guns from.

It's pretty fun once you get the hang of it actually. I got addicted right off the bat, and I sucked.

Just do deathmatch, practice your aiming. There is no classes...

I bought it last year and didnt really get into it.

I tried again lately and really enjoying it.
The guns can be tricky to get used to.
I play around in Deathmatch and then have a few goes on Arms Race, just so I can get used to the feel of different weapons.
I am nowhere near ready for competitive but still enjoyable

There is a lot to learn in counter strike. If you message me your Skype or steam I don't mind helping you out.

If you're coming from CoD, you definently need to learn the spray patterns.

It's a whole new way of aiming.
