So i am in year 9 and choose my options at the end of this school year.
I have french class 3 times a week and am doing really bad at it. I was just wondering if anyone knew what i could do to get out of it.
When my options come around i am not going to be choosing to take french. i would rather do tuition in a subject that im not the best at or take extra lessons in another subject.
I just wanted some tips on how to get my school to allow me to do this.
Note- i have social anxiety if this would help me get out of it in any way.

When I was picking my options, you didn't have to do a foreign language, you could pick something else in that column block. I picked ITC, Business, History, and Geography. Maybe you don't have to pick it? If not, just try to enjoy it.

Get your mum or dad to ring the school up and say that you struggle with the lesson and see what they do, or just be a complete bad ass, so badass you always get removed from your French lessons (what I use to do, coz I iz ard! ;) )
But I didn't have to pick it, nor do it as a daily lesson. I picked, Computing, History, and Design & Technology.

Its kind of difficult, some schools force you to take a language but some don't, I was given the option to take one or not. However if your school doesn't give you the option you should go to the head of language department and talk to them, let them know why you don't want to do it. Also I would personally talk to my head of year to make sure they understand too.
Good luck

Language isn't compulsory, well for my school it wasn't. I told the deputy head that I was struggling with it and I would like to focus on other subjects and they removed me from it.

I don't have to take it as a option, i just want to be removed from the lesson for the next year and focus on something more important.
