So I currently own this mobo [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , and it says it's crossfire capable, but after a bit of research I've read that the PCI-E x16 slot would only be running at x4 2.0 speeds while the other on is running at the full PCI-E 3.0 x16 speeds, and I currently own 2 HIS R9 270 GPU's but when I game my second GPU does nothing according to MSI afterburners GPU monitoring, is it because of this PCI lanes speed?

would have been wiser to get a single, more powerful card over two weaker ones to be fair

Do you have the Crossfire bridge installed, i know my 270X came with one

Make sure everything is installed, and plugged in correctly. Make sure your PSU is sufficient, in both wattage, and quality. Try the GPUs one at a time to make sure they both work.

They both work fine by themselves, and I have a 600w 80+ Bronze Seasonic PSU. The drivers are installed and they both show up in the device manager and in ccc

I'm assuming they're both 2GB(or both 4GB) cards? I can vaguely remember HIS offering a 4GB variant of the 270, and 270x. If you've purchased a 2GB 270, and a 4GB 270, they won't work together in XFire.

They're both the 2gb models, and somewhat off topic, I thought 4gb cards and 2gb cards could xfire together but the 4gb card would get dumbed down to 2gb.

It's a little sketch. Sometimes cards with differing VRAM will XFire/SLI together and just run with the amount of VRAM of the lowest card. Sometimes, it just refuses to work.

You've tried both cards separately? Did you use the same connectors on both cards when trying separately or did you use different 6/8 pin connectors for each card? If you used the same connectors, one of the connectors on your second card might not be plugged in correctly, or working properly.

Could you post a screenshot of Speccy, your device manager and anything else that might help?
