Im looking to upgrade my GPU for christmas to play games such as GTA V, Fallout 4, CSGO, and other games that may come out in the future.
I dont really know alot about pcs so i need some help. i was thinking maybe a GeForce GTX 970 SSC 4gb or a Radeon R9 Tri-X 390X 8gb any help would be great, Thanks

MOBO - ASROCK 970 EXTREME 4
CPU - AMD FX-8350 4.2GHZ
GPU - AMD RADEON 7850 2GB
RAM - 8GB 1600MHZ
PSU - 500W

First off, close your topic in the PC Gaming forum, more than one isn't needed and will just confuse things.
What exact case and PSU do you have? How much are you willing to spend on the upgrades?

Yes, it would be fine to run those games at 1080p.

Ok cool, what about fps, could i maintain no less than 60fps at high to very high settings at 60hz?

As I said, you will run it well at 1080p ~60fps.
