I mean no disrespect to you but I'm so sick of seeing this argument. They could have changed cod without making it into what it is today. They didn't have to go to the future, they didn't have to give jetpacks, they didn't have to give us equal connection (or whatever the correct term is). The only real factor from cod that has been dragged forward has been its a FPS. That in my opinion is way too much change. I mean we really can't even call it a war simulator anymore can we? The direction they took (at least in regards to IW) is taking place on different planets... That feels so close to Destiny... In fact I believe destiny had FPS TDM with jetpack like jumping and I'm sure there are various other similarities. They could have changed without being so drastic. For example, they could have went closer to BF with larger maps, more players, vehicles and such or they could have added map evolution so the game changes. Idk those are just some examples I'm sure there are limitless others. I'm just not a huge fan in the direction COD is going; that being said I will still give IW a chance.

I guarantee that about half or even more people are going to be playing cod 4 then IW. All of my friends quit call of duty as soon as ghosts came out. I stuck with it and to be honest it was a waste of time for me because I never had anyone to play with. I don't think the games are terrible but I do think you can judge a game by its campaign.

I mean, for PC anyway, modding is being killed by a massive hammer. For example, look at what I had to deal with today

I ban plebs like this from one of my most loved servers because I respect the game. Aslong as they let us keep our current ban system, there wont be many players "hacking" on cod4.

Personally, [for pc only] the community is one of the strongest I've seen and been in. Its full of people that want to actually have fun and bond. Yeah, you get the one or 2 people who type abuse or hack but they can be flicked off.

For example, the servers im an Admin for, I've talked to the owners [on and off] since 2008. I still talk to them today!

I love cod4 for the simplicity of it, screw jumping around with jet packs ect, give me 333 fps so I can bunny hop round corners and spray with my AK

I am just a guy who enjoys modern warfare. i like realistic action at the fast pace call of duty did with the modern warfare series and the original black ops, i enjoy games based off of real war. not wars with jet packs......

Modern warfare 2 was the game that got me into call of duty. And I think because it was simple and easy to play if you know what i mean. Like dont get me wrong i love to see new things coming into cod but after a while of using them it just gets boring and also very annoying. But because the old cod's dont have boost jump and all that shit it just doesn't get boring for me. I just like the simple old cod's but thats just my opinion

Without Cod 4 who knows if this website would even be a thing. The old games will never be beaten. Nothing could ever surpass the originals and that goes for everything. Bringing back cod4 is a blessing, so many gamers from the beginning can relive some great memories with friends and I'm one of them.
