Fallout 3 is their first attempt at the style of gameplay you're seeing.

The "point" is to find your father, who ran off from the vault, and you're soon to find out he's one of the most beneficial characters to the game, whether it be for the purifier or for the ability to make the entire game happen...

It's a blessing of a game, if you don't like it, you're one of two things.
1: A bandwagon, in which case you started at NV/4 because their hype, which would make your opinion more than invalid
2: Too young to understand.. And that's not your fault

The game was WELL ahead of it's time, and there's a reason it had boisterous success.

I felt the same way when I played Fallout 3, honestly the green filter over the game made it slightly depressing for myself and how it lacked colour.

im not sure what game you have been playing, but fallout 3 is one of my all time favourite games.

I mean sure if you dont like a massive open world for you to explore, hundreds of hours of content, fun and interesting side quests then i can see why you would not like it.

The game isnt designed to be like spyro the dragon.

Fallout 3 wasn't my cup of tea, but that could easily be because Fallout 4 was my first Fallout game and I had high expectations.

Other people love the game though, so hey, you like what you like.

Fallout 3 is an amazing game !..

You have to at least give the game a chance (Get out of the vault) before trying to judge it.
Yes the game can look a little dull and colourless but that was all done to give you the feel of the world 200 years after a nuke fest.

Not sure how far you got through but Fallout 3 is better than Fallout 4 (In my opinion).
Give it a chance and don't expect the same from it as you would from Fallout 4, Graphics wise that is.

I thought Fallout 3 was a great game, a lot of fun, but a little scary, different at times!
