You get banned after using that within 24 hours, just for your safety

I've been banned once, it's only soft bans. So being banned for a max of a hour is fine with me. Also if you only teleport in increments of 10 miles then they can't detect it.

It's not a soft ban, at least for me, they banned my iPhone's device ID or some address specific to my device

Banned for what? From all the research i've done the most hardcore ban i've seen is a couple of hours. No actual banned except for you. But i did see that the company that made the game usually ban there players by ip in previous games. But the only thing i can see they permanently banned you for now is if you spoofed the location or you live in a country that the game isn't released yet. People claimed to be banned for that. Also always use a vpn, rather it be on your mobile device or if your using a pc to play pokemon like me.

I'd just use the GPS faker to either explore big cities like NYC, or really historically prominent cities like Gettysburg or something. Anywhere that has a lot of stores or historical/monument sites.

FYI: Niantic has another game out, very similar to Pokemon Go, and they are pretty aggressive with cheating. I'm sure you're already aware of the risks but I just thought I'd let you know.
