Hey, I'm in need of a new PC build, primarily for gaming. Fed up with my current build so I want to start a new one and give my current one to my brother.
Budget is around 900GBP, ideally nothing to much over, maybe by an extra 20.
I'd like to go with a white case with a window, to showcase my parts and stick some LEDs in etc..
I'm interested in..
CPU
Motherboard
GPU
RAM
SSD (if within budget, if not, can purchase at a later date)
Graphics/video card
Power supply
Case
Any extras if you think it's needed
I already have a OS, monitor, keyboard and mouse so I'll upgrade those shortly after this build.

Skates wrote You can use [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to get an idea of what you want in your build.Yeah I'm hoping for him to help me out. I know a decent amount about parts, but I'd like a complete build idea from him as he knows far more than me lol.
But for now just wait till Sanct posts because he knows his stuff about computers.
Cheers tho

If you don't want to overclock, get an i5-6500 instead. I'd recommend the 6600k though, just in case you decide you want to OC at some point. 16GB RAM helps in AAA titles these days, and is handy to have. 240GB SSD for OS and a few games. You don't need the HDD straight away, so you can drop that for now and save some money, but if you do that, you should add an HDD asap. Nice case with LEDs(has 9 colours I think, and off). I also included an NZXT Hue+ for you, for RGB LEDs inside the case. Great quality PSU, it's non modular so cable management might be a hassle, but the case has a PSU shroud, so cables will be almost entirely hidden. GTX 1060 will be plenty for 1080p, and even 2560x1080 if you upgrade to an ultrawide monitor. If you decide to go 1440p, 3440x1440, or 4k, you'd be better upgrading the GTX 1060 to a GTX 1070. If you do that, you can grab a GTX 1070 for £380 or so pretty easily and sell the GTX 1060 to make back most of your money, and end up only paying like £150-200 for the GTX 1070. The GTX 1060 will handle 1440p comfortably, but at lower settings, whereas the GTX 1070 will easily max 1440p. I don't recommend anything above 1440p with a GTX 1060.

Thanks for this mate. So is that 450w PSU safe to use? Wouldn't I require one with higher wattage? I'll probably end up getting the 1070. Also does the case come in white as well or just black?

It's a great quality 450W PSU. It's more than enough for a single GTX 1060 or GTX 1070. You can get the white version of the case instead if you prefer.

The RAM is no longer available what would you recommend as a replacement?
