Just bought a 2013 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Limited Edition.
Ive had a moped for a year, no crashes etc.
I looked up how much the insurance is on provisional and its only £440 a year, which is reasonable, but when getting a quote on the Full License its around £2000+ with a blackbox, are there any recommended site to use or companies to go with that may have a cheaper quote or any ways to bring this down, i have my mum as the named driver and she has been driving for 25+ years with no claims or accidents.
And what are your thoughts on the black box, many companies only require the black box for 3 months, ive read up on them and heard many different views, some people have removed the black box and its still sending false data etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated

£2000/year must be nice lol.
Just call around to different companies, what is good for me may not be good for you, and what's good for you might not be good for your neighbor.

I think its marmalade insurance which is what a lot of young drivers are going for at the moment, however you still need a black box.
I am with Adrian Flux on my second year now and it's £1400 on a 1.6 Mini but that doesn't really help..
Last thing you want to do is tamper with the black box if you do get one.... Insurance fraud n all
