Correct, your current motherboard does not allow OC so you will need a motherboard does allow it. 7700k goes well with pretty much any Z270 motherboard, allows OC.

What RAM do you currently have? The motherboard posted above ^ only supports DDR4.

The CoolerMaster Seidon 120v is sufficient enough although if you're going to OC to a high clock speed you may want to look at an upgrade.

Yeah my bad, will do next time i need advice or anything. I have Corsair SPEC-02.

You don't need a new motherboard. You don't need a new cooler. You don't even need a new CPU. An i5 will be perfectly fine paired with a GTX 1070. Don't get a GTX 1080. If you want/need a CPU upgrade, grab a 6700k/7700k. You won't be able to overclock without a motherboard upgrade but that's a significant extra cost that's just not worth it at this point unless you specifically want to overclock.

You'll need to update your BIOS before adding a 7th series processor. Just do it with your old chip and switch out after so it'll accept it

Ok thanks for the advice man. But i feel like when i play Watch Dogs 2 or Far Cry Primal my cpu is bottlenecking a bit or isnt that the case with a gtx 1070 and i5-6500?

Watch Dogs 1 or 2? CPU makes less of a difference in Watch Dogs 1 iirc. In Watch Dogs 2, the i7's HT can help significantly. Depending on what resolution and refresh rate you're playing at though, an i5 could be fine. Why not see if you have a CPU bottleneck first, and if you do then you can think about upgrading CPU.

I play at 1440p and have 144hz but mostly use it for MOBA and some fps to get 144hz. When i tested with watch dogs cpu is 100% all the time and gpu is between 90 and 100%. So that means its not really bottlenecking right? And with far cry it was like 75% cpu and 90% gpu.

Your CPU won't be a bottleneck for Far Cry. It will however be a bottleneck when playing at 120/144Hz. Especially in Watch Dogs 2.

Get the GTX 1070 first, then you can get a 6700k/7700k if you want/need. Then if you still feel it's not enough, you can buy a Z170/Z270 motherboard and overclock.
