Yup. Corsa's and other common cars for first time drivers are more expensive to insure. Insurance in the UK is an absolute piss take.

Yeah it really is, but there are ways to make it cheaper like a black box and also setting a mile limit for the year etc...

They won't ask you to remove them, as you declare them when you pay for the policy. If you haven't and you turn up for a black-box fitment on a car that's not as described, rip your policy.
