This has turned into political/religious discussion, we're missing the point where we are supposed to give our condolences to the ones who lost there loved ones. May they rest in peace & ISIS may never prevail.

Yes, we know, everyone is very sad. Everyone should change their Facebook profile pictures. Other countries should light buildings up in the colors of the union jack, and we should all light a candle.

Or people can discuss the root cause of this attack. People like me and Cancerous are sick to death of seeing attacks like this happen and then watching as everyone scrambles around pretending that they don't know why it happened.

So excuse us for wanting to increase the discussion around this and hopefully convince people that this kind of stuff doesn't have to happen if people would just talk more openly about the issue and weren't accused or accusing others of being racist, or voting for UKIP.
It isn't racist to say that extremist Islamic ideology caused this, and people can be against things like increased immigration, or the idea that criticizing Islam makes you Islamophobic, without voting for UKIP.

Well if you want to blame extremist islamic ideology. We also have to blame the source behind that ideology. Want to guess who that is? USA,Saudi,Qatar,Israel & etc. Why do we jump and blame Islam. How about we blame the people funding these terrorist? Didn't Donald Trump say Saudi Arabia was behind 9/11? But now here we are visiting them & signing an arms deal......

Global politics certainly plays a part in the fundamentalism of these people, but it is by no means the root cause.
Saudi Arabia is one of the biggest exporters of Wahhabi Islam to other countries. This is the version of Islam that ISIS ascribes to.
The countries in which this practice is most popular are also the countries in which there is the most support for terrorist groups, and this ideology doesn't come from people sat in a room looking over the geopolitical landscape and their interactions with other nations, it comes from Mosques all over the Middle East and North Africa preaching from the Quran and the Hadith.

You don't have to take my word for this though. There is a magazine you can download called Dabiq, and it takes us through step by step why groups like ISIS do what they do. The most important thing about this magazine though is that it isn't someone's interpretation of what ISIS is doing and their motivations it is published by ISIS themselves. It is written by ISIS members, edited by ISIS members and published by ISIS members and it explains in detail why they hate the west and the reasons are not geopolitical, they are religious.

That's very sad, and I don't mean that in the sense of it being a insult, but in the sense that this discussion - which I feel was going quite well - can't continue because most people, in my experience, find any sort of link between Islam as a faith and these kinds of attacks to be offensive or bigoted in some fashion which means that to reply with what I consider to be very well established and backed up claims is to essentially give myself a warning for being offensive.

So Aced or anyone else who wants to discuss this issue, feel free to PM me, but I won't be replying on this topic any more.

Also Madeline, it could be the case that Aced has been replying to me since before you made your post.
I don't think it would be fair to give him a warning for replying to me [assuming he is] when he hasn't seen your post yet.

Aced wrote Well listen we can save all the extra disagreements for another day. Someone asked what we can do right? Here is my take.
How about we stop funding these terrorist. We can start by cutting all ties with Saudi Arabia because they are the biggest sponsor of terrorism, but that will never happen, i was hoping trump would but i am coming to my senses that he is just another candidate who lied and fell through with what he said he was going to do. We are so worried about human rights abuses in other countries like for example Syria... But what about Saudi? Why don't we put sanctions on them? I already know the answer.
We can also start by putting America first like our president said. We can stay out of foreign affairs which just increases all problems.
We should STOP giving these terrorist money, stop TRAINING these terrorist & cut all ties with countries that do the same.
I am starting to think we have placed sanctions on the wrong countries. I Don't see North Korea or Iran giving aid to these radicals...
Point is if we and our allies mind our business and stop giving these extremist a backbone then they will quickly die out and as they die out the refugees/immigrants will return to their countries and we wont have to worry about the bad guys coming in as much. This is all a outcome of War& funding the wrong people. I know everyone is tired of hearing of events such as this happening, its been happening for years and it happens everyday in the middle east. What do you suggest we can do now that you have my a hint of my point of view?

For most of what you said, I completely agree.
