They would all fit the budget....

OP, stay away from Lexus and Infinity as they are more often than not really expensive to repair compared to say a Nissan. I personally don't think Subaru has a sleek looking car past the BRZ, but to each their own. Only issue with the BRZ is that it's 2 door so insurance will be more expensive and of course it's not a sedan.

The Ford Fusion (2013+), Mazda 6, Hyundai Genesis, Chevy Malibu, Chevy Impala, and Volvo S (60, 80, and 90) are all good looking cars that for the most part are reliable and will be cheapER on insurance.
Subaru?

What about Subaru?

Based on a lack of explanation here, I'm assuming it's the price point.

I was talking brand new from the dealership I would NEVER EVER buy a car off someone I didn't know. I would only go to a minimum of a 4 star rated dealership. That way if my car has a problem, I know exactly who to go after.

OP is talking 2013+. All used cars are bought as is with no warranty unless you buy one, it doesn't matter what dealership it is. The only difference is you will pay more at a dealer than person to person because it's a business that charges more for the product. Just because you buy a car that has issues weeks after you bought it does not mean the dealer will help you out even if they have a 5 star rating. Most dealers simply won't because it eats their profits. The ones that will are usually smaller dealerships trying to grow a good name.

I can tell you now that if I buy a Volvo V70 with 60000 miles on the clock for $2000 and you buy whatever car with a warranty you want. The used car will always work out better.

If a car breaks down in warranty period I would guess that the car is something shitty. The warranty is put there for 3/5/7 years to make retards think "Oh, if it breaks down I will be covered" but in reality, a car that's brand new will not break down for a good few years.

OP - You're wasting money buying a new car, cars are getting uglier and less reliable. You're better off putting money into something older with little miles. Age doesn't mean shit unless it's a Ford as it will be rusted to nothing within 20 years.

Good luck finding a V70 with 60k miles for 2k that runs good, but anyways you can get warranties on used cars.... My 2006 F-250 with 160k miles has a warranty on it. I paid $2k up front, but for 5 years / 60k miles CERTAIN parts of my truck is covered.

"but in reality, a car that's brand new will not break down for a good few years." You are dead wrong on that one. I travel for work so I rent a lot of vehicles. I had a brand new 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee that hadn't even hit 1k miles yet and the engine seized on me. I also just had a 2017 Camaro when I went down to Vegas that the tranny wouldn't shift out of 1st.

"Age doesn't mean shit unless it's a Ford as it will be rusted to nothing within 20 years."

You just proved how big of an idiot you are there. First off, two things kill vehicles and that is age and miles. Second, Dodge has a HUGE rusting issue, now Ford. Right now in my driveway we have a 1977 Ford F-250 high boy with little to no rust. It's 40 years old and still runs with minimal rust. We also have a 1994 Ford Aerostar with no rust. It's 23 years old and has no rust. Oh, let's not forget that Ford is now building trucks out of aluminum which doesn't rust....

"You're wasting money buying a new car, cars are getting uglier and less reliable". Again, wrong. If you like the look of older cars, that's your taste but everyone has a different view. As far as less reliable, you are dead wrong. I don't know where you live, but where I live there are a lot more vehicles 10 years old and newer on the road than 11 years old and older. Maybe that's because the older vehicle died and they needed a newer vehicle, or because they wanted more features. Bottom line is older vehicles are not more reliable than newer vehicles. I would agree with that in the diesel world, saying a pre 2007 diesel is more reliable than a post 2008, but in the gas world I disagree strongly.

Please do research before you talk to anyone about cars.

That's the problem with you. You only buy from dealerships where they add a massive percentage ontop.

Also, all new cars are going to be terrible soon because sadly electric is taking over. CBA to argue with you 002 as you will just bring up a load of irrelevant points and avoid the truth.

I've bought 2 of my vehicles from private parties and 2 from dealers?

A lot of people have said "all new cars are going to be terrible" when change happens like when we decided to stop using carburetors and used throttle bodies, or when we started using aluminum blocks, etc. etc. With changing times comes changing vehicle. If I were going to do a road trip all across the Americas I would much rather use a new vehicle over an older vehicle, I have a lot more faith in it.

Irrelevant points, or facts that prove you wrong, how ever you want to spin this lol. Try to open your mind instead of thinking you know everything. Believe it or not some people actually do know more than you on certain subjects.

Wow, ok. Well since I guess you know more about me than I do and refuse the listen to others to educate yourself, this conversation is over.

Not at all. Used cars are sold as is without mention of warranty unless on paper (in the states anyway). They are in no right legally obligated to help you do anything.
