A few hours ago, sexual misconduct allegations against the owner, Evilore (Tyler Malka) have surfaced with some similar claims being made of the moderation staff.

As of about an hour ago, NeoGAF's site has gone offline and is 'down for scheduled maintenance'.

From USgamer:
Today, sexual assault allegations against Malka began circulating online which alleged that Malka made unwanted sexual advances against an individual. The moderation team, in an act of solidarity with the victim, stepped down from the site. Furthermore, NeoGAF users began protesting the site and its owner just before the site went down.

Unless the alleged victim came forward with irrefutable evidence what happened to 'innocent until proven guilty?'

This 'BelieveWomen' stuff is nonsense.
Unless you're fine with being biased against someone based solely on an allegation, of which false ones are made all of the time, then any person who cares about actual justice should wait for a real verdict in a court of law before potentially destroying someones livelihood.

The main issue at hand here is Tyler's track record is very bad when it comes to this I think 7 times he's had the finger pointed at him that's without one of his Admins doing unspeakable things.

The issue with NeoGAF and the way Tyler runs that place is he thinks in his brain that he's "famous" he just owns a forum. Tyler goes so far as to name the sites social media accounts after himself in his mind he's famous you don't follow NeoGAF you follow the owner who wants so badly to be known he can't stand it.

Multiple allegations does make it more likely that something did in fact happen but in my opinion it still isn't a good enough reason to ruin someone's source of income.
If it turns out that he is definitely guilty then anything he gets will be deserved and justifiable, but right now it just seems like people don't want to be anywhere near allegations about this sort of thing because of what has happened with Harvey Weinstein recently.
