Personally I just use a TP-Link router that cost me like £30, it works fine for gaming.
If you wanna go for a "gaming" router then the Asus RT-AC5300 is good, I don't personally have it, but a friend of mine does. Tbh there's not too much difference

i know a lot of pros used night hawks, not sure if they still do or not
