I have been stuck in command follower mode for a while now and I can't get out. How do I fix this?

My follower is no where to be found.

Xbox One.

Try loading the save before the one you're on. Hopefully it's not too far back.

Back track everywhere you been or wait in a location for several days to try and let them catch up.
