So i found this video on my YouTube feed and decided to watch it.
For those who can't watch the video right now:
The guy opens 50 chests on a nms account and records what he gets from them, he then buys the battle pass and repeats, upon doing this he discovers the drop rate for better gear is very much increased.
He then repeats this again on a different account and the same is true, after buying the battle pass the drop rate is increased.
Now with the first set of results they were opened between 2 patches and so potentially shouldn't count toward this study, but what do you guys think about this?
It would be very interesting to see if this is true in all cases and if spending more rewards you more etc.

What about if you spent more and got more advantage? So someone who has spent $10000 gets only golds now whereas someone who doesn't care about the skins only gets commons?
I don't mind the idea but its where the limit is, Fortnite has risen to its heights due to being free and fun to play and unnecessary to spend cash, i almost gurantee if it had been stated all along that this was the case or if the game cost even $0.99 that it wouldn't have risen to its stardom.
I think its an interesting topic in games and its something that will if we allow it will get to the point where to enjoy a game and play it to its full potential we have to spend thousands.

no fortnite is not pay to win. all things bought, atleast in BR, are purely cosmetic. They give no extra perks

I hope there's no hidden thing that gives people p2w perks somehow. I'm sure that's bs and just random. Fortnite isn't p2w.

Look at the video, its not as simple as extra health or damage but rather drops, he shows that after buying something he get around 3x as many legendary drops and 2x as many epics. Not traditionally P2W but if its true it means buying something, anything in fact does give some advantage

Honestly I doubt this game is pay to win I have played some games where I get a scar, chug jugg, and tons of sheild, but sometimes I'll play and end up not getting an assault rifle until the end. Or I just kill people to get the loot.
