My buddy told me it frequently goes on sale on Steam but I'm in a debate on wanting to wait or just buy it now.

If you got the game, whats your opinion on it & do you think I should buy it now or wait for it to come on sale again?

If you're a fan of RPGs then yes. One of the best games out there and probably the best RPG out there. There's a reason it has a 97% positive rating on steam. It's literally the GOAT. Definitely cop the GOTY edition too because the DLC is amazing as well.

I've had this game for a long time.

I was told by many this game was great and I'd love it if I was into these kinda fantasy/rpg games.
truth is I didn't ever get into it.
Maybe its me maybe its how late I joined the series but the fun wasn't found for me
mainly struggled to get the games combat down and didnt get far at all into the game

Although I tried..
I'm by all means not bad at video games but I literally was licking someones dog bullics by the end of my experience.

I was awful at the game and nothing really drew me into the way others had claimed.
I know if you played the 1st and 2nd it changed the game up so maybe that would've made it ever so slightly better for me although I truly doubt it.

It come down to a personal opinion really but mine is really just biased off my own experience.

This sums it up. For me also, the combat system and all the things you can do, was too much. I've heard many positive things about it, my girlfriend even loved this game but personally it ain't for me.

Personally, I can second this. When the witcher 3 first dropped, I followed along with the hype train and got it, and really struggled with the mechanics of the game at first, and I quit playing a few weeks after getting it. Same as Petite, I'm pretty damn good at RPG's/video games, and went back to Skyrim or Fallout or whatever I was playing at the time. A few months back I tried getting back into the Witcher, and had much more success. The controls made sense, the storyline was gripping, and I played for about a month and really enjoyed it. I stopped playing solely because I didn't have the time to pour into the game at the time, as well as the massive scope of the game deterred me a bit. If you've got the time, a passion for rpg's, and a little patience, it's absolutely worth getting!
