If you want the cheapest option then YES, buy a 2DS.

I would go ahead and buy the 3ds if i where you. It offers greater portability and a much more stylish look. The 2DS isn't really intended for a more mature audience as well.

if you already have a 3ds then i would say no

but if you dont then i would say yes because
1. its cheaper
2. lets face it the 3d isnt outstanding, yes its good but not necessary to enjoy the game ...

I actually prefer the 5C not because its cheaper but i just like the look better and think it would be more comfortable.
