So My Jtag's dvd drive will open when its got a disk in but wont open when it hasnt got a disk in.i took the drive apart and it will open fine without the top part of the case on but it will not open when i dont have a disk in and the case is fully on.

Can somebody please help me?

I had the same problem on mine. Is it a hitachi drive?
