First, try to find a jasper, becasue them seem to run alittle cooler with less problems, I have a jasper and have not had one problem with it at all.
Second, try to find a falcon as there are better then xexon and the other older boards, less chance of RROD
Last get one that has been reballed as the are usually a really good fix, or I should say the only fix for RROD's.

Just look around where you live, I mean look in stores that don't sell many xbox's because I found 2 stores by me that have a bunch of old xbox's from 2008 and they are selling for 150 and are brand new, So you start off with a brand new Jtag...I bought my jasper and three falcons and they still have more there, so just check some stores and make sure you ask if they have any old xbox's.

Try xenon they run 2 type kv and just put the 12v fan patch you should be good.

if you get a xenon, be sure it has been reballed, and has cooling modifications, otherwise, i would go for a falcon or jasper, preferably jasper if you have the money

Jasper, it will cost a bit more money but well worth it because they run cooler and have a super low chance of getting RROD

if you have lots of money to spend get a jasper if you dont get a xenon or zephyr with a 12v fan hope this helped
