Today, Congress holds hearings on the first American Internet censorship system.
This bill can pass. If it does the Internet and free speech will never be the same.

It goes against the bill of human rights, everything which the US believes in, the right to speak your mind, I have very high doubts this will go through.
EDIT: Furthermore, I find it impossible to see how they can censor the WHOLE internet, surely they would only have permission to censor US sites, meaning the sites which get 'censored' would just move to a foreign host. In addition, the money it would cost to police the internet would be excessive. People daily would be posting on online forums with things that go against what you're allowed to. In addition, there's literally millions of websites out there, some which only get maybe 5 views a week, but how could you close every single one of these sites. Moreover, with the easy ability nowadays to create a web page within minutes for free, when one gets shut down it would instantly be reposted.

And if it does? hope a high level judge somewhere strikes it dead as unconstitutional?

Humans have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Censoring my Internet would definitely impact my human rights...
