Castle Miner Z Review

Castle Miner Z is one of the various Minecraft clones that are around these days and one of the best too. This is an indie game that can be found on Xbox Live game market place and can be bought for 240 msp. Like Minecraft the game allows you mine and create items based on the resources you earn and collect. You can also take other materials and combine them witch make new block or rare awesome props. Despite all the Minecraft clones this games seems to be the best that I have seen even better than the title "Fortress Craft" because of the different set-up, no lag, and very adictive. The graphics are good as would be expected from the 360 and controls and game mechanics are very good. Game sound is especially good and creepy when the zombies that interrupt your mining come to get you, The feeling is comparable to when you first played the game Doom. Zombies range from slow walking, to sprinters, and some that contain weapons. To add an extra challenge's you must watch out for a flying dragon who is eager to burn your body to the ground. Modes consist of online survival, single player play, or just building without enemies. This game is a must indie game for those looking for a cheaper priced Minecraft or a fix until XBL arcade's release of Minecraft. 10 out of 10 game & top download on XBL.

You need to add way more information than just that! How's that supposed to convince someone if you just copied the synopsis (I'm guessing that's supposed to be it).

Be WAY more descriptive.

NBA 2K12

Game Synopsis- NBA 2K12 is a great game that lets you live some of the greatest moments in NBA history. NBA lets you take control and you choose what you want to do. Such as "Create a player", "Association", "Season Mode", and many many more.

Gameplay- Well, the gameplay is simply amazing in everyway, the game has alot of new features, and alot of old good ones they brought back from past games. One new feature i like is the "NBA Today" which shows real game times and what teams are playing against eachother. In any game mode you want 2K12 players have the ability to switch the game mode up as they would like. For example- You can do fanatasy draft and put players on teams you've never expected! You can switch up the rules, and even if you dont like the time limit, you can switch that up for really long games, or if you dont have enough time, then short games. This game is a must get for NBA fans and players across the world.

Graphics- The graphics in this game are just 100% great, and are very clean! You'll never see any pixels, and even better if you have an HDTV!

Controls- The controls in this game are however quite simple. You have two different choices of shooting the ball which i find that sometimes messes me up. Other than that right there they couldnt get any better and are easy to control. Even if you dont like them you can always switch them up in the pause menu.

Ratings-
Gameplay: 10/10
Graphics: 10/10
Controls: 8/10
Overall Rating: - 9.3

Synopsis;

TimeSplitters 2 is a first-person shooter video game, a sequel to the original Timesplitters.

The game features a single-player mode consisting of ten levels in which the player assumes the role of one of two space marines as they attempt to stop the alien race of TimeSplitters from ruining history by collecting the time crystals in various time periods, ranging from the Wild West to the 25th century.

It has several multiplayer modes.

Game Information;

Release Date: October 18th 2002
Developers:Free Radical Design (Now known as Crytek UK)
Publishers: Eidos
Platforms: Playstation 2, Xbox and Gamecube
Genre: First Person Shooter
Players: 1-2 (2-4 with the 'Multitap' add-on or 1-16 humans (via System Link)
Age Rating: 15+
Rating: IGN 9.1/10
My Rating 9.5/10

Setting;

The main single player campaign of Timesplitters 2 is based on 10 unique locations each in a different location and time periods. This time the objectives of the missions aren't based on taking something from A to B without dying from the horde of the 'Timesplitters'. This time round there are a series of objectives to complete which are added along game play of the mission, after they are completed a final objective to collect the Time crystal. This gives the game a great boost of exploration compared to the first game.

Graphics;

The graphics of this game yet to stand out, they are more or less the same to the the first game but you can't ask for more out of it as what the game contains of the 2nd era of console's where as most people saw these graphics amazing compared to the generation of console's which now are the Xbox 360 and PS3.

My graphic rating: 8/10.

Game modes;

In this mode up to four players and ten bots that can compete individually, or in up to four different teams in certain game modes. The players can set choose from characters, levels, and weapons that have been unlocked by completing story mode and challenge mode missions.

Co-op campaign has finally made its introduction, where as you can play the full campaign together and unlock characters.

(Description of game modes are listed under the game modes themselves in the picture)

Challenge Mode;

Exactly like the first game, this is one of my favorite modes. Again there are more chaotic modes like killing banana stealing zombie monkeys to racing with robotic cats. You progress through the bronze stages and finally up to the platinum to unlock characters for multiplayer.

MapMaker;

This game mode remains the same but with only more constructional objects to choose from.

Controls;

During the single player campaign, the player controls six different characters from a first-person perspective. The player assumes the role of recent British Special Air Service recruit Sgt. John "Soap" MacTavish for most of the game, starting with his enrollment in the 22nd SAS Regiment. Sgt. Paul Jackson is part of USMC 1st Force Recon deployed to the Middle East, and the player controls Jackson's character during five levels of Act 1. Cpt./Lt. John Price (voiced by actor Billy Murray) is an SAS officer who is playable in two flashback missions from 1996. Yasir Al-Fulani is the president of the unnamed Middle Eastern country in the game, and is playable only in the game's opening credit sequence before he is executed. The player also assumes the role of an American thermal-imaging TV operator aboard an AC-130 gunship during one level, and a British SAS counter-terrorist operative infiltrating a hijacked airliner to save a VIP in the "Mile High Club" level.
The game's non-playable characters (NPCs) feature prominently in the story: Captain John Price (in his NPC capacity) and his right-hand man, Gaz (voiced by Craig Fairbrass), serve as mentors to Soap. Jackson's USMC platoon is led by Lt. Vasquez (voiced by David Sobolov) and Staff Sgt. Griggs (voiced by and modeled after Infinity Ward lead animator Mark Grigsby); Griggs later accompanies MacTavish in Russia. Sgt. Kamarov leads the Russian Loyalists that ally with the SAS and USMC forces. "Nikolai" is a Russian informant who helps the SAS. Captain MacMillan is Price's mentor and commanding officer during the flashback to the assassination attempt on Zakhaev.
The antagonists in the story are: Imran Zakhaev, the leader of the Russian Ultranationalist party and the main antagonist of the game; Khaled Al-Asad, the commander of the revolutionary forces in the Middle East and an ally of Imran Zakhaev; and Victor Zakhaev, the son of Imran Zakhaev and a priority figure in the Ultranationalist party.

New submission system rewards skill rather than speedy stick rotation Comprehensive tutorials make MMA accessible to all Career mode now focuses on fights and fight preparation It's fun to rewrite history in Ultimate Fights mode Option to share highlights online is a great addition.

Lengthy Title Defense mode lacks a save option Clicking through TV-style intros and such takes too long.
While UFC Undisputed games have always offered great mixed martial arts action, UFC Undisputed 3 is the first in the series that also succeeds outside of the octagon. It's also a significantly more accessible game than its predecessors, so you don't need to know a reverse mount from a rear mount to enjoy it.

If you're a newcomer to the series, or just in need of a refresher because you haven't played a UFC game in months, UFC Undisputed 3 has you covered with its comprehensive tutorials. Play through the Guided Tutorial mode's 62 quick exercises, and you learn how to perform everything from simple punches and transitions to dangerous moves like foot stomps and soccer kicks that, while effective in the new Pride competitions, are illegal in UFC matches. Some of the tutorials deal with new or significantly changed gameplay mechanics, so they're worth checking out even if you have previous octagon experience. Submissions are now attempted and defended using an entirely new system, for example.

Fight one of Title Defense mode. Only 99 more to go.
Comment on this videoWatch this video in High Def
Rotating the right analog stick as quickly as possible was an inelegant way to resolve submission attempts in previous games, and while it was technically skill-based, it wasn't at all analogous with the struggle onscreen. Thankfully this has been addressed in UFC 3, where submissions employ a minigame of sorts. Two icons representing the fighters move around the perimeter of an octagon-shaped graphic and, depending on whether you're attacking or defending, you either chase or try to stay away from your opponent's icon. It's unfortunate that you end up focusing so intensely on this visual representation of the struggle that you lose sight of the actual fighters, but it's a great system regardless, because it's always clear how well you're doing and what you need to do to improve your situation.

Another interesting improvement inside the octagon is the all-new interaction that you have with your trainer. Not only can he occasionally be heard yelling legitimately useful advice over the noise of the crowd while you're fighting, but in between rounds he offers feedback on both positive and negative aspects of your performance. He might congratulate you on your excellent ground-and-pound work while pointing out that you need to do a better job of blocking your opponent's transitions, for example. Furthermore, you have the option to look at an expanded version of his comments that, often, details what you need to be doing with your controller to act on his advice. MMA fighters have such vast repertoires of moves at their disposal that these reminders can prove invaluable.

Geometric shapes: Taking the guesswork out of submission attempts since 2012.
If you find the move lists of pro fighters such as Anderson Silva, Cain Velasquez, and Scott Jorgensen overwhelming, a great way to familiarize yourself with the basics is to jump into the much-improved Career mode. There, you start out as a relative newcomer to MMA with a much smaller repertoire and significantly lower ratings for your physical attributes and fight skills. You might feel sluggish and underpowered early on, and it's an odd sensation to find yourself in a position in which you simply don't have good moves available. This forces you to master the basics though, and there's a great sense of progression as you train between fights.

Training hasn't always been much fun in UFC games, largely because so much of it was menu-driven. Thankfully, that's no longer the case. Minigames replace mathematics in UFC Undisputed 3, so where physical training used to take place on a spreadsheet, now it involves punching bags, focus mitts, and the like. Training exercises do a great job of reinforcing the idea that you're improving as a fighter, not only because you inevitably get better at them as your career progresses, but because they employ the same controls as the moves that they most obviously benefit. Grabbing large tires and flipping them around on a mat plays in much the same way that taking down opponents does, for example. Also, you no longer need to concern yourself with working training into your schedule in such a way that you leave enough time before a fight to recuperate.

Train hard, and the only blood on your created fighter will be your opponent's.
In UFC 3 you typically get to choose one of five opponents for your next fight and then get just two training sessions beforehand, which you can choose to spend improving your skills and physical attributes, or visiting camps to learn and level up moves. You never have to rest, and you never have to waste time clicking through menus that are presented as media opportunities. You might still end up devoting chunks of time to arranging sponsor logos on your shorts and banner, but you don't need to do this often, and the systems in place for doing so (which also include a new option to design your own logos) are far less unwieldy than in previous UFC games.

EA Sports MMA

Release Date: October 19, 2010

Developers: EA Tiburon

Publishers: EA Sports

Genre: Sports

Players: Single player/Multiplayer

Platforms: Playstation 3, Xbox 360, iOS

Synopsis

EA SPORTS MMA brings the authenticity of the worlds most intense combat sport home like never before.
Choose from the worlds top fighters or climb the ranks of the worldwide circuit with your created prodigy to become the ultimate MMA champion. Travel the globe and learn a multitude of fighting techniques and skills from masters in each discipline. Select from various weight classes, rule sets, and take on all challengers in multiple cage types or a ring.
The challenge continues online with the most robust offering for any MMA videogame, including the ability to create and share custom fighters, prize fights, and more. Are you ready? Lets get it on!

Story

If you were to jump right into the game EA Sport's MMA, you would head for the story mode. The hype for this mode before release was unreal. It advertised many different modes and options you could choose from within the campaign of this UFC/Strikeforce based game. From different camps to join, to leveling up your created fighter to take on the big dogs of the MMA world, this game has it all. You start off the story mode with a created character. Now let me say, this is one of the most creative and wild variety of options to choose from I have ever seen in a game that allows you to create your own character. From skin tone, to tattoos, to stylizing your fighter with an incredible, rainbow mo hawk. There is a crazy amount of options in each of these individual tasks you can use to create your own, personal character. 100's of options await you in this wonderful Create a Fighter mode. After you go through that process, you start in your training camps, leveling up your fighter. There are tons of attributes to fit your character such as: Right Handed Power, Left Handed Power, Ground Game Offense, Ground Game Defense, Clinch game, etc. There are really great amount of options to keep you coming back to career mode trying to max out your character. Afterwards, you begin training. You can train for as long as you want until the next event on your list comes up. You keep playing this events, with bumps down the big league road to success. You start off in the rookie league, and after a while you will rank up as far to try to shoot for the Strikeforce Championship. Do you have what it takes?

Exhibition Mode

Have you ever wanted to just have a 1 on 1 battle with one of the CPU, or to test out your skill against one of your buddies offline? EA Sports MMA has this and more to bring to the table. There are 5 different weight divisions you may choose from. Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, Welterweight, and Lightweight. In each of these weight divisions, there are a variety of professional fighters you may choose from. From Randy Couture, to Fedor Emelianenko, MMA offers a lot. There are roughly 15-20 or so fighters in each division. Keep in mind this is mainly a Strikeforce based game, so there are more fighters from there then UFC. After you have chosen the fighters, you even have the choice to choose your arena and rules of the match. The rules differ from traditional Strikeforce rules, which means no knees or kicks to the head of a downed opponent, to Japanese styled rules to where they are both allowed, plus more such as elbows. Then we move on to the gameplay/controls of the game.

Controls

The controls in this game are what you would expect from a traditional style fighting/mixed martial arts game. X, or Square, is to punch with one hand, Y, or Triangle, is to punch with the other. There are also kicks that differ as well. With these combinations, you can keep the heat coming with a skilled variety of combo attacks coming from powerful straight jabs leading up to a headkick, to wide expansion of them for each character. That's right, not every character has the same attacks. One fighter, Cung Li for example, has a special flying kick that I believe, no other character shares. Features like this make the game compelling and different each time you step inside the octagon.

Online Mode

Like every other EA game, MMA comes with an online code you must enter before playing the game online. If you can get past this small feat, you can delve into the heavily expanded world of MMA online. There are many different modes you may choose from in this game. From the traditional 1 on 1, to a special "live" event type of mode that allows you to watch the top contenders for a championship online duke it out with live commentary from real EA Sports commentators. While these programs are indeed live, if you happen to miss one you may re-watch it again even with the commentary from the Multiplayer screen. You can even fight for the championship in each weight division online. The more you play in 1 division, the more you "rank" up in it in your efforts to become the number one contender to face the current reigning champion. If you do manage to take that privileged spot, you may defend your title online against other contenders that have went through what you have to get where you are now. Compelling and different really describe the online mode of this game. Any more, you don't really see this much in depth effort that was clearly put into this game.

The Final Verdict

EA Sports MMA is an action packed game for every fan of MMA, or any sports game in general. I wasn't much of a fighting game fan (MMA) until I picked this game up. It completely changed how I look at this sport, and other games that follow the path, but don't quite reach the peak that is this game. Although it may fall flat under the current UFC games that are coming out, this game is sure to please. The only real con I have about this game, other than the occasional matchmaking/online lag (Which is expected from EA servers), is the somewhat steep learning curve to this game. While this isn't the most difficult game to learn in existence, it sure takes some dedication and time to do consistently well in EA MMA. This isn't one of those games where you can just pick up and do amazing, because of the different character combos and what not, but it definitely isn't the hardest I've seen in a while either. If your a fan of any MMA game, or any fighting game in general, this game is a must buy. For the casual gamer though, its deep learning curve may stir you away, but I would give it a shot, because you never know who's going to be holding the next Strikeforce Championship.

The Final Rating

8.5/10
On your Controls, give us a brief description of it, and don't show just images of them.
