(DO AT YOUR OWN RISK)(Read warnings some files do not work with the slim!)

First you will need a magic memory stick. You can make your own with a 1gb, 2gb, and 4gb. I am not sure about the others.

Magic memory stick files: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

1. Copy everything on your psp into another file if you want to keep your saves and games.

2. Delete everything off your psp memory stick.

3. Unrar the MMS DC8.rar

4. Go to the folder MMS, Copy and Paste the files in that to your memory stick (PSP, TM, and 5.00 PBP)

5. Go to the folder PSP Grader v006, Install PSP Grader v006.

6. Go to your desktop and hit PSP Grader. (DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE BUT THIS!) Go to the bottom where it says PSP Memory Stick and chose the location of your memory stick. Hit Inject IPL Only, this will put in the rest of the needed files.

7. You have a magic memory stick.

Second you will need a Pandora Battery, or if your PSP has OFW lower than 5.03, if higher then you may look around but you might not find one so just get a pandora battery. If you wish to make your own pandora battery you must already have CFW. So to get CFW with a pandora battery it is simple. (I have a pandora battery and I have never used chickenhen so it is up to you which you would like to do).

1. Place the pandora battery in your psp. It should automatically turn on.

2. Hit Install 5.00 M33.

3. Let it install. Once done you may take out the battery and put in yours.
You now have CFW congrats. But without a later version it is worthless. So upgrade to Gen (DO THIS IN THIS ORDER OR IT WILL GET MESSED UP!) Start with Gen-A not any other.

Gen-A: PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A (Build 4)

1. Download and unrar it. The rar folder will be named pspgen-cf550gen-build4_1244868079. (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others).

2. The only file should be PSP copy PSP and past it into your memorystick. (If it askes to copy over always hit yes to all).

3. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it not the one that starts with D you can actually delete the one that starts with D.

4. Install it.

5. You have Gen A.

Now that you have Gen-A upgrade to Gen-B.

Gen-B: PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-B

1. Delete the Gen-A files in your Game, Memorystick.

2. Download and unrar it (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others). The rar folder will be named pspgen-cf550gen-b_126505546.

3. Do the same thing, copy and paste PSP to your Memory Stick.

4. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it. (Make sure you deleted Gen-A off of your Memory Stick cause you might get mixed up).

5. Install it.

6. You have Gen B.

Now that you have Gen-B Upgrade to Gen-B2.

Gen-B2: PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-B2

1. Delete the Gen-B files in your Game, Memory Stick.

2. Download and unrar it (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others). The rar folder will be named pspgencf550genb2.

3. Do the same thing, copy and paste PSP to your Memory Stick.

4. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it. (Make sure you deleted Gen-B off of your Memory Stick cause you might get mixed up).

5. Install it.

6. You have Gen B2.

Now that you have Gen-B2 Upgrade to Gen-C.

Gen-C: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

1. Delete the Gen-B2 files in your Game, Memory Stick.

2. Download and unrar it (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others). The rar folder will be named xgen-installer-for-5-50gen-c.

3. This one is a little different, ignore the Docs folder, copy and paste PSP to your Memory Stick, put 550.PBP in your Memory Stick. Delete 500.PBP.

4. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it. (Make sure you deleted Gen-B2 off of your Memory Stick cause you might get mixed up).

5. Install it.

6. You have Gen C.

Now that you have Gen-C Upgrade to Gen-D.

Gen-D: PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D

1. Delete the Gen-C files in your Game, Memory Stick.

2. Download and unrar it (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others). The rar folder will be named xgen-v4-gen-realease-version_1256138756.

3. This one is a little different (same as one before), ignore the Docs folder, copy and paste PSP to your Memory Stick, put 550.PBP in your Memory Stick. Yes Copy over the otherone!.

4. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it. (Make sure you deleted Gen-C off of your Memory Stick cause you might get mixed up).

5. Install it.

6. You have Gen D.

Now that you have Gen-D Upgrade to Gen-D2.

Gen-D2: PSP Downloads | 5.50 GEN-D2 Quick Updater

1. Delete the Gen-D files in your Game, Memory Stick.

2. Download and unrar it (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others).The rar folder will be named quick-updater-5-50gen-d2_1256347313.

3. Copy and paste PSP to your Memory Stick.

4. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it. (Make sure you deleted Gen-D off of your Memory Stick cause you might get mixed up).

5. Install it.

6. You have Gen D2.

Now that you have Gen-D2 Upgrade to Gen-D3.

Gen-D3: PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3

1. Delete the Gen-D2 files in your Game, Memory Stick.

2. Download and unrar it (Unrar this in a seprate folder so it doesnt get mixed up with the others). The rar folder will be named xgen-550gen-d3-final_1260992120.

3. This one is a little different, ignore the Readme 5.50GEN-D3 folder, copy and paste PSP to your Memory Stick, put 550.PBP in your Memory Stick. Yes Copy over the otherone!.

4. Disconect your PSP and go to Game, Memory Stick and chose the file, Make sure it says Gen on it. (Make sure you deleted Gen-D2 off of your Memory Stick cause you might get mixed up).

5. Install it.

6. You have Gen D3.

You now have the latest CFW Congrats. Now you can get the latest games, emulators, ETC.

Other files you might want:
