I made a simple rapid fire where I used a momentary push button that is connected to two wires: one to first player light, another to the middle of three prongs which is right above the rumbler.
I've noticed that it doesn't give a constant rate of fire... sometimes it goes sorta fast, sometimes it is slow.
Any ideas on how to make it go faster without changing it completely such as using a chip?

This is the tutorial that shows you how to do it with a chip right?https://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=159873/xbox-360-rapidfire.html
Edit: Eh, I think those boards are outdated . I have the new black controller with the chrome for the xbox guide button.

If your talking about the design that uses a potentiometer to adjust the fire rate, those are very inconsistent. If you have a PIC programmer and can get some 12F chips, there is plenty of free rapid fire codes on the net. The chips are like $1 a pop and can be reprogrammed.
