ok, far fetched thought, probably in no way helpful, but in the normal picture with the city and the people, it looks to me as if the picture was taken behind a window. thats why there are the light glares and the reflection of super over the the left

just a thought

My beliefs on this game is that you are perhaps playing as the man in the skeleton mask that appears in both pictures. For what i can tell about the game from these pictures is this:

You are a person in the depths of New York City, you have a life as a criminal and you try to stay low so you wear a mask. But one day something terrible happens in the city and it just becomes YOU trying to fight off a deserted city of ghosts. My guess is the city will be destroyed somehow and some type of group of AIs will try to kill you and you have to survive until help arrives.

That's my thoughts on this game.

Alright, I've done a lot of research and believe I may have the answer (probably not though)
We know that the letters were sent from Krakow, its been explained many times.

'Sadness' was being developed by a company called 'Nibris' which was based in Krakow. 'Sadness was promoted as a unique and realistic survival horror game that would "surprise players," focusing on psychological horror rather than violence, containing "associations with narcolepsy, nyctophobia and paranoid schizophrenia.' I related the schizophrenia and paranoia to the dark picture, the man is still there as he is imagining all that is happening in the dark picture.

The game was cancelled in 2010, But perhaps 'Medium' have taken over development?

'Remaining Nibris staff and projects were also reported to have been handed over to Bloober Team' - wiki
Bloober team created the game 'A-Men', which a few people on this topic have said they can see references to in the pictures.
A few pages back people were also saying that the source on Medium was something to do with Bloober Team, I can't be bothered to go and quote these posts but they're there somewhere.

Someone over at the IGN forum has also made a comment about 'Sadness' a few hours ago [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . While this topic is not getting any serious replies, the guy who started it says 'I've been hearing that Sadness is back in development for WiiU?' A few pages back on this TTG topic someone uploaded an E-mail reply from 'Medium' where they said It might be something to do with the WiiU.

So anyway, there's my theory which is probably wrong. To sum up, I believe that the game in question is, or is what used to be called 'Sadness'

If you look really close in both pictures its the same setting/place like the center building that has all the signs in the ghostly picture its just dark and all boarded up.

I think it's more than one person sending those emails, because in one of them on the past pages they were spelling things wrong and not using correct grammar. (Not putting "'", saying "u" or "i") but in some of them they are using it. Just an idea.
