Budget & Currency: No more than $600 USD

Peripherals & Monitor: I would need a CHEAP keyboard and monitor. I would be using it for about 75% gaming and 25% typing. I plan on using my tv for my monitor most of the time but I still want a monitor that works in case something happens to the tv

Games: I want it to be able to handle games like Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 with no lag.

Software: I'm going to be using everything from Google Chrome to AutoCAD.

Aesthetics: To be honest I could care less what it looks like. If it looked like a cardboard box I would be happy, so basically whatever looks good without raising the price too much

Rebates/Promos: Full price but rebates and promos are always nice.

Details: Im not sure where I should put this but I also plan on getting a 1TB hard drive with it too.

When: Plan on ordering parts this Tuesday the 21st

Stick with your TV, it would give you much more performance:

4GB 1333mhz Gskill RAM: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Thanks, I got all the parts ordered today so they will be here soon. I will probably be back with more questions though don't worry :p

Asus F1A75-M LE Motherboard (Socket FM1, DDR3, USB 3.0, M-ATX, Multi-GPU CrossFireX Support)

AMD A6-3650 Quad-Core Processor - 2.6GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, Socket FM1, APU, Radeon HD 6530

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Module Kit

VTX3D AMD Radeon HD 6450 2Gb Silent Graphics Card (DDR3, DirectX 11.0 Support, HDMI, DVI-I, VGA, AMD HD3D Technology)

Seagate 500GB 3.5 inch 7200rpm 16MB Cache SATA 3 6MB/S Hard Drive

LiteOn iHAS124B

could you recommend a case for it?

Assuming this is for gaming, you'd be better-off with this:

CPU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Motherboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Graphics card: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

RAM: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Case: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

PSU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The case doesn't have ricer LEDs, but honestly I don't think you want them for this build. It's not particularly high-end hardware inside and it's not as pretty as you'd think. Stock cooling, ugly graphics card, etc. It's better to just keep it hidden and go for performance and understated styling. Make sure you see the "Samsung 30nm RAM" entry in the topic.

In that case, get an APU like the A8-3870K (or a lower-end model, it would be fine) with this motherboard:

You won't need or want a discrete graphics card.
