It's being treated like a big disaster because it's in America. I don't think we America should be involved in foreign tragedies.... Only because we dont need to put our nose into anyones business.

This was on US Soil. The US doesn't have things like this happening in the country, therefore it being a tragedy.

In other countries like Syria, there are 50+ people dying, they can't even keep up with the death rates. It is a national tragedy but it's way different. It's been happening for a while.

What happened in the US was a surprise..

IMO This whole Fiasco is stupid. Yes i agree that its terrible, but James Holmes Is getting the death sentence Most likely. Thats basically saying "Have a taste of your own medicine". The government preaches about how harming people is wrong, but they do it almost everyday. I really hope he gets the mental plea, im not trying to protect him, but he should not be killed.

In Afghanistan And other war torn country's There is babys being shot,Blown up ect, i can go on forever about that stuff Their is people living in war torn countrys minding their own business Being killed for no reason. Look on google at how many have been killed by US and UK Armys for being a potential threat for being in their own country, And why the f*** would a 6 year old be at a movie theater at midnight anyway?

The US makes a huge deal about everything, because the media gets attention, which gets them paid. By having so much attention on things that aren't as big as it seems just promoted more crimes. Because people want to be famous. (Sick freaks of course).

If you think this is as big as it's being made, you're just a ignorant follower.

Of course it isn't fine either, and the families of the "massacre" have my sympathy. But if you're going to sit at you're computer and say "Ahh man it was so bad what are you talking about kid" how about you go out there and go fight crime with your keyboard.

For your information i am not a kid and yes it is important but go to Afghanistan for 6 months and you will have a different View on it.

My Opinion:
People know whats going on in Afghanistan..they know that people die there(possibly everyday) and the soldiers we lost signed up for it they know what can happen. Those soldiers are acknowledged and people do feel bad for them, but what can we do about it?

The shooting in Colorado is different these are US citizens not soldiers. People usually and should feel safe going to the movies. No one would expect that someone would just show up tear gas and shoot up the place. its terrifying that could have been anyone anywhere. its more public because it happened here on US soil.
