I'm glad to hear this as I been wanting to own an HDPVR but now I can just get the HDPVR 2 instead.

No, The prices for all of them will drop.

The HDPVR 2 Will probably be the most expensive at 169$ since its the best one.

Probably the AverMedia C821. This is a PCI-E Capture Card though. Pretty neat.
