yes its good but you don't need that strong of a processor for gaming. Any game you will play won't use that extra power. Get an i5 3570k.

that and you don't need 16gb of ram 8 is all you will ever need. you can take that saved money and put it towards upgrading some other parts. what is the rest of your build??

I was about to point this out. People shouldn't try to build their own computers without sufficient knowledge. Eventually someone's gonna be wondering why their CPU won't fit when they try to build!
