Skip to the bottom for the main question
I've had this computer for about 4 years and its worked well but recently we had it upgraded at a local computer repair shop( I wanted to do it myself but my dad insisted)
We upped it from 3 GB RAM to 11 GB
We also switched Hard Drives because the old one didn't meet Factory standards
The GPU ( HD 4850 (Obviously)) has always been overheating ( About 85-90 C under load) but since we've got it back from getting repaired/upgraded its been overheating like I play games with it in an oven
With the Fan at 100% ( 9200 RPM) , when playing games it quickly reaches temperatures of 105-115% under load and 90 C at idle..I want to open my case and clean the fans and check power cables but one of the screws is fu**ed up and wont come off so my main question before I go and drill the screw off is--
Does anyone who's ever had an HD 4850 have it go up to extreme temps like this before with the HD 4850? PS. Im using the latest AMD Catalyst 12.6 Drivers
