Light is an electromagnetic wave.

Newton thought it was a stream of particles because it didn't diffract around objects [like a wave], which is why shadows don't have faded edges and also because it reflected, like particles bouncing off a wall, but it turned out that light has an extremely short wavelength, so it only diffracts through very, very small gaps.

Light is so weird its amazing..

when you look at an object.. for example lets say a green tennis ball. The ball its self isnt actually green?.. Its absorbing every other wavelength of light.. apart from green. Which is reflected from the ball to your eyes.

Strange huh?.. Lol!

Also heres a very interesting video you may like..
