So recently i went through some stuff with my laptop which i think i had a virus. I'm pretty sure i got rid of it but now my trackpad / mouses will not work on it. I have tried to so system restore but that did not work. I can't do a factory reset because i bought this laptop from a pawnshop and they didn't take the password off of it, which sucks. So now i have to navigate everything by windows key and arrow keys.
What should i do to fix this? I don't know what to search online.
I have a Dell Inspiron N5050

Well first off, I don't want to make you out to look like a fool but make sure the mouse has batteries. Second of all, make sure you've tried every possible USB port on your laptop to make the mouse work. Also, many mouses/trackpads have on/off buttons, so check those too and make sure they're on.
If nothing works go to Control Panel.
> Hardware and Sound
> Under Devices and Printers, click Mouse
> Under Mouse Properties, select TouchPad Settings
> Select on TouchPad Enable
If that doesn't work, I don't know
