How do i uninstall my minecraft mods?

When you load the minecraft launcher hit
Settings>Force Update>Done
Then login and it will remove the mods.
If you do this it will update you to 1.5.1 and remove all mods.

i have them in the mods folder but i cant erase them and i tried updating

Delete your whole .minecraft folder. then log in and it will redownload everything.
