The only time I have boosted is for camouflage challenges after reaching the top prestige, which I couldn't be bothered to play like 100 games hoping to complete a challenge for a camouflage which is completely irrelevant to the weapon I am using.

But I have only ever done it in private match glitches so it doesn't effect anyone else. I don't see the point in boosting for a higher rank as it takes the fun out of the game.
