Its extremely dusty and weird hot, with a side of INDF from RPGs and small arms.

I considered going to do aid work over there, a friend talked me out of it though.

My cousin was a sniper in the army and was out in Afghanistan and made a "documentary" (carried a camera while walking long distances and when in gunfire) it is honestly not like people imagine, it is considerably laid back (is his position)and quiet, he caught his buddy being shot on film (it was only in his arm) and they were both joking about it during the aid of his arm!

Take the conflict out and its probably one of the most beautiful places around. Its undisturbed from modern industry and highrise buildings in most places so alot of it is traditional.
