Title says it all. I just want to play GTA V again and i'm not gonna put peanut butter or mustard on my game like how they say in the YouTube videos.

go to game get the disk cleaned for 2 pounds it will scratch the top layer off and make it work

You have to get it re-surfaced. Go to Gamestop, they do it.

If you take it to Gamestop they'll probably do it for you, it's not free but it shouldn't cost much.

Just as stated above, take it into a game store and they have disc cleaners for laser burn, however the discs can only be cleaned a maximum of three times.
Alternatively you can do the toothpaste method, however you stated that you would not want to be using any method of the sort. You should install the game to the hard drive on your xbox in case of situations like this. This is as if your disc gets laser burn the game will still play if it is being played through your hard drive. This is what I do with my Modern Warfare 2.

Yup get it to Gamestop. Make sure you install it though because if you install it as long as it can read the title it will work in the future install ALL important games.
