So me and my Grandad were basically best friends when i was younger, and about 30 weeks ago he was told he had pancreatic cancer and when i found out i regretted so much as over the past year before that i was going through one of those teenage stages of life and didn't see him too much, but as soon as i was told about his cancer i broke down crying in the hospital, after that he was aloud to go home etc and i tried to visit him a lot more over the past few months i still had with him, i didn't get to say much to him like how much he meant to me or thanks for everything he had ever done to me as when i was younger we basically done everything together, and i could have never have asked for a better grand dad in my life and i hope I'm exactly like him when I'm older, But at 2:48 yesterday morning he unfortunately passed away from us in peace, i was there and ill always have something to remember him by, just before he passed he opened his eyes wide and it looked as if he was looking at me this was strange as he couldn't open his eyes properly as he was in the last stages of cancer he could basically do nothing, i pointed this out to my auntie and thats when we realised something was wrong shortly after he passed away from us and i burst out into tears, theres just so much more i wish i got to tell him, things such as how much i love him and to say thank you for everything and just to tell him how much f a great grandad he was for me and how he will always be a part of my life no matter what, I'm just sad as i never got to tell him any of this, apart from when i text him a few months back to tell him how much he means and that he's going to beat cancer but texts aren't the same as face to face Im just glad i was there in the final days of his life, i just needed to get this all out:(
