Recommend Crucial for Mac memory upgrades, they seem to work the best. Not saying others don't but some fanboys seem to suggest some brands don't play well. Also Crucial guarantee compatibility so easy returns.
I'd also recommend buying matching sticks, so unless your current 4GB stick(s) are exactly the same speed, timings and voltages then I would replace all memory with new. This will prevent any instability.
