Will The Exotics You Currently Have Upgraded Fully Or Half Way Be Reset? If So How Do You Rank Them Back Up I Know Obviously Killing And Doing Bounties Ranks Your Stuff Up Fast But Will There Be Something That Xur Sells That Makes Your Exotics Rank Up?

I'm not to sure but my friend told me he will be selling a exotic piece and you will have to take your exotic weapon
You want to increase and then Xur will increase the stats in the weapon

Think of your exotics like this.
Any exotics you have no matter where thery are in progression are not actually hitting their true potential.
When the dark below dlc comes out the level cap raises by 2 levels. So what does that say about weapons and armor? everything that we had is wasted? no. these are updated versions of the exotics you already own and by the price of a strange coin your exotic items update to have higher base stats. Once you max out exotics with higher base stats they will be much stronger than if you had your original exotic piece fully upgraded. Its a way for people to keep everything they have and not be useless as future dlc comes out.
