So im going for the MDL diamond camo and it says 5 bloodthirsties. Do I have to get all 5 kills with the MDL or can i just slap it on a overkill class with an assault rifle/SMG get 4 kills with that and then the fifth with the MDL?

I done this in hard core.
It's fairly easy to do compared to other gun challenges.
